Recording Food Waste
This guide shows how to record a food waste event on the LabelFood device so it syncs to the cloud dashboard for analytics and compliance reporting.
Step 1: Open Waste Recording
Section titled “Step 1: Open Waste Recording”- On the device, tap Waste on the home screen
Step 2: Select the Product
Section titled “Step 2: Select the Product”Option A — From Recent Labels
Section titled “Option A — From Recent Labels”- The last 10 printed labels appear as quick-select options
- Tap the product that was wasted
Option B — Search
Section titled “Option B — Search”- Use the search bar to find the product by name
- Tap the product to select it
Step 3: Enter Waste Details
Section titled “Step 3: Enter Waste Details”- Quantity — enter the amount wasted (weight in kg or unit count, depending on your settings)
- Reason — select the reason the product was wasted from the list configured in your branch
- Note (optional) — add a free-text note about the waste event
- Photo (optional) — take a photo of the waste for reference
Step 4: Save
Section titled “Step 4: Save”- Tap Save
- The record syncs to the cloud dashboard immediately (or when connectivity is restored)
Viewing Waste Records
Section titled “Viewing Waste Records”In the cloud dashboard, go to Wastage to see:
- Total waste by day, week, or month
- Waste by reason — identify the biggest causes
- Waste by product category
- Export for EHO inspection reports
