Requests

The Requests page is where managers review and approve requests submitted from devices. There are two types of requests: product requests and clearance requests.

Go to Requests in the sidebar. A badge shows the count of pending requests needing your review.

When a staff member requests a new product or a product change from the device, it appears here with status Pending. Tap on a request to review the details and approve or reject it.

ApprovedProduct created or updated, ready to print
RejectedRequest declined

Each product request card shows:

  • Product name (proposed)
  • Expiry period (e.g. “Exp: after 4h”)
  • Status badge
  • Image (if a photo was attached from the device)

When a staff member uses the Clear expired labels function on the device, a clearance request is sent to the dashboard for approval. This is a safety measure to prevent accidental bulk deletion.

  1. Review the request — it shows the device name and timestamp
  2. Tap Approve to authorise the clearance
  3. The device executes the clearance on the next sync

  • Check the Requests page regularly to keep your product catalogue up to date.
  • Product requests from staff can include photos — review these before approving.
  • Clearance requests ensure a manager confirms before expired labels are bulk-removed from the device.
