Quick Start Guide

This guide walks you through setting up LabelFood — from creating your account to printing your first label.

  1. Go to labelfood.co.uk/pricing
  2. Choose your plan — Monthly (£32/month) or Annual (£28/month, save £72/year)
  3. Tap Start free trial
  4. Fill in your name, email, password, and business details
  5. Tap Create Account
  6. You’ll be redirected to the cloud dashboard to finish setting up

A branch is your kitchen location (e.g., “Main Kitchen” or “Oxford Street Branch”):

  1. Enter your branch name and address
  2. Set your business type
  3. Save — your branch is ready

You can add more branches later from Settings → Branches.

  1. Go to Products in the sidebar
  2. Tap Add new
  3. Enter the product name (e.g., “Chicken Tikka Masala”)
  4. Select a category — e.g., “Mains” or “Desserts”
  5. Set the use-by period (in hours)
  6. Select all allergens present in this product
  7. Tap Save

The product syncs to all paired devices immediately.

  1. Power on your LabelFood device
  2. On the device, go to Settings → Device Pairing
  3. A 6-digit pairing code appears — valid for 5 minutes
  4. In the dashboard, go to Settings → Devices
  5. Tap Pair device and enter the code from the device
  6. The device syncs and appears in your dashboard
  1. On the device, tap Scan to scan a barcode — or tap New Label to search by name
  2. Select the product — allergens, use-by date, and QR code show on screen
  3. Check everything looks right, then tap Print
  4. The label prints in seconds
  1. On the device, tap Waste
  2. Select the product from recent labels, or search by name
  3. Enter the quantity wasted
  4. Select a reason — e.g., “Overproduction” or “Expired”
  5. Tap Save — the record syncs to the dashboard
