Wastage
The Wastage page shows every food waste event recorded from your devices, along with waste analytics to help you reduce waste over time.
View Waste Records
Section titled “View Waste Records”- Go to Wastage in the sidebar
- All records are shown, most recent first
- Use the search bar to find records by product name or waste reason
Each record shows:
- Product name
- Date and time the waste was recorded
- Reason — colour coded by category (amber for Over production, orange for Expired, red for Damaged, purple for Quality issue)
Record a Waste Event from the Dashboard
Section titled “Record a Waste Event from the Dashboard”Tap Record wastage to log a waste event directly from the dashboard without using the device.
Waste Reasons
Section titled “Waste Reasons”Every branch has a configurable list of waste reasons. Common reasons include:
- Overproduction
- Expired
- Damaged
- Quality issue
- Other
To configure waste reasons for your branch, go to Settings → Waste Reasons.
Waste Analytics
Section titled “Waste Analytics”The home screen shows a Wastage by Reason ring chart — useful for spotting the biggest causes of waste in your operation. Use this data to reduce overproduction and improve prep processes.
EHO Inspection Reports
Section titled “EHO Inspection Reports”For Environmental Health Officer (EHO) inspections, go to Reports → Compliance Pack. It combines your wastage log with label discipline and allergen coverage into a single due-diligence summary for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, and exports to PDF with your organisation and branch details on it.
For wastage figures on their own, Reports → Waste Report breaks records down by reason and period with a cost breakdown.
No Records Showing?
Section titled “No Records Showing?”Records appear here once they are recorded from the device. If you don’t see any records yet, try recording a waste event from the device.
