Bulk Labels

Bulk labels let you build a print list in the dashboard and leave it waiting for the kitchen. It suits a morning prep run: the list is made the night before, and whoever opens up prints it in one go.

The dashboard queues the job. It does not print anything by itself, and no device prints it without someone pressing print.

Build a Job

1. Go to Labels and click Bulk print
2. Pick a product and set the quantity
3. Click Add label
4. Repeat for everything else in the run
5. Click Save N items

The job appears in Pending bulk jobs on the right, with its status, the total label count, each product with its quantity, and when it was created.

Printing It on the Device

While a job is waiting, a printer icon appears in the top right of the device’s Label tab. It is only there when there is something to print.

1. Tap the printer icon to open Bulk Labels
2. Find the job and tap its print icon
3. The device confirms what it is about to print, with the total
4. Tap Print

A job that is no longer wanted can be removed from the same screen, on the device or before it is picked up.

Printed jobs stay on the device screen showing when they were printed, so it is clear what has already been run.

Before a Big Run

• Check the roll: Settings on the device should read Printer Ready, and a long run may need a fresh roll
• Check the use-by dates are what you expect. A bulk job prints with the product’s shelf life worked out at the moment of printing, not at the moment you built the list
• Every label in the job lands in your print log, exactly as if it had been printed one at a time
