Pairing Your Device
This guide shows how to pair a LabelFood device with your branch so it can print labels and sync with the cloud dashboard.
Before You Start
Section titled “Before You Start”- The device must be powered on
- The device must be connected to Wi-Fi
- You need access to the cloud dashboard as a Manager or Owner
Step 1: Get the Pairing Code from the Device
Section titled “Step 1: Get the Pairing Code from the Device”- On the device, tap Settings (gear icon)
- Enter your Manager PIN to access settings
- Go to Settings → Device Pairing
- A 6-digit pairing code is displayed — note it down
Step 2: Add the Device in the Dashboard
Section titled “Step 2: Add the Device in the Dashboard”- Log in to cloud.labelfood.co.uk
- Go to Settings → Devices
- Click Pair device
- Enter the 6-digit pairing code from the device
- Give the device a name (e.g., “Main Kitchen Device”)
- Click Save
The device will display “Paired successfully” and begin syncing.
Verifying the Pairing
Section titled “Verifying the Pairing”Once paired, the device shows:
- The branch name at the top of the home screen
- A green sync indicator when connected
- The device listed in Settings → Devices in the dashboard
Unpairing a Device
Section titled “Unpairing a Device”- Go to Settings → Devices in the dashboard
- Click Unpair on the device
- Confirm — the device returns to its unpaired state
The device can then be paired to a different branch using a new pairing code.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Pairing code not accepted | Check the code matches exactly; try regenerating from the device |
| Device shows “Offline” | Check Wi-Fi connection; restart the device |
| PIN not accepted | Verify you are using a Manager PIN, not an Operator PIN |
